Editor's Note
We are currently going through a storm that none of us could have predicted, for those who have implemented strong emergency plans may have discovered that there are many situations that were never thought of. This is a very difficult time for our industry as we wade through the uncertainties of Regulations and the lack of clarity for some of us. We have seen regulations and requirements change from one day to the next, these changes have been for the better and I do think we have a much better understanding of who what and where the industry can deliver on our contractual obligations or contracts.
The Work From Home initiatives have been fantastic and I am sure those that are working from home and delivering are finding that this is not such a bad thing and may prefer to continue working from home in the future. This working environment however does require discipline in what you do when you are at home, ensuring that you are not distracted by family or friends. Be diligent if this is what you prefer doing, this is the time to prove to your employer and your clients that this can be done and done well.
I predict that companies that see a success during this time in the productivity of their employees, are going to re-look at their need for the bricks and mortar, leases and rent. There is a strong case for this and we are proving or disproving it during this time. Excellent deployment of technology to enable a smooth working from home system deliverables, we thank all the companies that were quick off the mark ensuring that their staff were capable to set themselves up at home either with the office computers or with laptops. Enabling you staff to Socially Distance themselves from crowded commuting or encountering people in the workplace has gone a long way to assisting the flattening of the curve, along with also assisting the existence of our industry and employment of staff.
The CCMG have ensured that we have shared information on a daily and weekly basis as regulations have changed. We will constantly assist companies with explanations and breakdowns of what is required. Please contact us should you have any questions and if we do not have the answer we will endeavour to find it.
Caring for everybody in the industry.
Stay Healthy, Stay Safe, Stay Home
