Editor's Note
The country and our industry has faced enormous challenges during the month of July which has compounded our already difficult landscape as we manage our way through the covid 19 pandemic and the many challenges associated with wave 3. We appreciate the feedback from many of you detailing the effect that the recent unrest has had on you, your businesses and your staff. Despite the devastating economic impact that this has had on our economy and sector we remain hopeful as we witness the incredible accounts of unity, support and community pride which demonstrates our true south African spirit.
Despite the devastation and trauma it is heart-warming to see that our members are considering all means possible to focus on business continuation, supporting their team members and it has been important for us to ensure that we continue delivering the very best to you our industry, despite the challenges.
We are also hopeful that the Annual Industry Awards scheduled for the 25th August at 14:00 will present our industry with the opportunity to celebrate the resilience, innovation and sheer brilliance that dominates our industry. We would like to encourage you to join the industry so that we can recognise the efforts achieved by some remarkable individuals and companies under challenging circumstances and look forward to sharing what our finalists and the winners have achieved.
A huge thank you goes out to the judges for giving up their time to do the judging all the entries and then doing the virtual interviews with the finalists. Congratulations to the finalists and we wish you the very best for the 24th August. (Please link to the finalists)
Thank you to Pivotal Group for being the Awards Headline Sponsors and we welcome the sponsors of the categories.
Kind regards
